The design rationale adopted was used to create an embassy building, which would not only represent Egypt historically, but would also confirm to climatic conditions with the use of advanced environment technology. The design process employed, though emotive. Produced a utilitarian functionality essential for this type of government building. Architecture is expressed by a solid granite stepped inverted pyramid, complimented with a high articulated square arched entrance reflecting traditional temple design. The building entrance opens into a well-defined soft-lit inner court, which gives access to the varying spaces within the complex. The building form, based upon traditional Islamic architecture, expresses the solidity and monumentally of ancient Egyptian architecture, combined with a pure Islamic living and vibrant heart, as a symbol of Egyptian heritage in the United Arab Emirates.
