First Prize Award
An international competition between 33 big firms, APG won the first prize. The project is situated 22 km south of Hurghada, on the Red Sea with total area of 7,140 acres. A master plan was set out for the development of this land. The concept was to exploit a strip parallel to the coast, over looking a natural gulf through four phases. Back of the site was allocated for general services, land reclamation, craft villages ... etc. To the north of the site there is a cape with apparent steps, which was selected for the first phase, The first phase incorporating the following : 5 stars hotel & bungalows, 264 rooms hotels, Facilities & Utilities, Golf course & diving club
